I can't understand why this Hampton Inn only has 2.5 star rating. It is better than some 4 & 5 star hotels I've stayed in. Even with the good reviews on Trip Advisor, I was still a little nervous about staying here because I got it for an unbelieveably great rate through Hampton's own website. What a pleasant surprise! the public areas sparkled, the desk clerk was very friendly, making check-in a breeze. The room was very nice & clean, clean, clean! Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, with wonderful linens...really 5 star hotel type linens. Thje continental breakfast was plentiful & the staff kept the food replinished. We were there for several nights & showed up for breakfast at different times each morning & there was always plenty of food. Waffles,omelets, gravy & biscuits, pastries, cereal, fruit, bagels, several types of juice & excellent coffee. The staff was so friendly...from the front desk to the maintenance man we encountered one morning. They appeared to enjoy working there. We had reservations for an additional three nights at a hotel near the convention center...when we had such a pleasant experience at the Hampton, we decided to cancel the other reservations & stay at the Hampton, even if it meant driving to & from the convention each day. Unfortunately, we couldn't get out of the reservations, so we had to stay at the Doubletree Resort on International Drive for the remainder of our trip. Believe me, we enjoyed the Hampton much more than the so-called "resort" which nickle & dimed us from the moment we walked in the door. Read my review on the Doubletree & you will understand why we enjoyed the Hampton Inn! I did manage to get reservations at the Hampton for the night before we had to fly out of Orlando...wanted a great night's sleep!
